Installation Details: Laser Animator is compatable with Windows 98 / 2000 and XP and requires a PC with minimum specifications of 1.5GHz, 256MB of RAM, screen resolution of 1024x768, EPP Parallel port and 1.5GB of hard disk space for the full version installation. Double click the file LA-Demo-V1-63.exe to run the self extractor. The self extractor will extract the files to the directory: C:\Laser Animator Demo Install When this has finished, go into the above directory and double click on the Setup.exe file to install. Follow the on screen instructions. If you have problems installing any of the above software please contact your dealer or email Nu Light Systems at:lasupport@nu-light.co.uk giving details of your problem. The demonstration software has all the functionality of the full package, apart from being able to save animations, compiled animations and show files. There is also no output to the laser. ******************************************************************** 2. Using Laser Animator: The user manual gives full details of Laser Animator's Software functionality, and is complete with tutorials. If you wish to use the demonstration to create your own animations to get a true feel of how the package operates, then it is strongly recommended that you read through them! It does not take long and will help you understand how everything works together and stop you from making mistakes along the way. A little time spent now can save a lot of frustrating time later on when you do not know what is happening! However if you cannot wait, and want to see the demo animations and shows supplied then just follow the instructions below: Animations in Editor: To load in one of the demonstration animations into the Editor, click on File and Open and then select from the Library Animations directory one of the LAB files. This will load in, into the Editor and you will be able to see how that animation has been made up frame by frame. To see the animation play on the screen, press the Play button in the Frame Tools window. You can create your own animations by clicking on File and New and then simply by experimenting with the editing and animation tools. If you want to do this, please have a go at reading the instructions for the functions in this manual, it will save you a lot of time! Shows in Player: To load in the demonstration show in the Player, click on File and Open and then select from the Library Shows directory the LA DEMO Show.LAS file. Make sure that the Play mode radio button is selected for Normal. Press the Show Player button and then the Laser Animator Player - Show Control window appears, where a play list with the assigned keyboard hotkeys will appear. Press the Play button in Show Control panel to start the show. If you want to have a go at creating your own shows you can by using the Add Animation feature in Player. In Player click on File and New, you will now be able to start a show from new. Press the Add Animation button, to build up your list of animations to use in the show.
