1. Installation Details:

Laser Animator is compatable with Windows 98 / 2000 and XP and 
requires a PC with minimum specifications of 1.5GHz, 256MB of RAM, 
screen resolution of 1024x768, EPP Parallel port and 1.5GB of hard 
disk space for the full version installation.

To install the upgrade, double click on the LA-Upgrade-V1-63.exe
file and extract to the directory specified. Go into that 
directory and run Setup.exe.

The installation will point to the C:\Program Files\Laser Animator
directory where the original version of Laser Animator should 
already be installed. If you installed it in a different directory
make sure that you point the setup program to that directory.

This upgrade replaces the following files:

Editor.exe
Player.exe
Port Delay Slow Test Pattern.lab
Port Delay Slow Test Pattern.lac
Port Delay Test Pattern I3.lab
Port Delay Test Pattern I3.lac
Port Delay Test Pattern.lab
Port Delay Test Pattern.lac
Standard Test Pattern.lab

2. Whats New:

a. Editor and Player now support music input (with the latest 
   interface) via built in microphone or external audio input.

b. Editor and Player now support seperate X and Y sizing 
   (with the latest interface).

3. Interface Upgrade:

This version of Laser Animator supports all versions of interface,
however some features may not be available if your interface is not the 
latest one.

If your laser interface has: 1 male 25 way D connector and 2 female 9 way 
D connectors it is an Interface 2, the separate XY sizing and audio will 
not operate.

If your interface has the following features: 1 male 25 way D connector, 
1 female 25 way D connector and 1 female 9 way D connector,it is an 
Interface 3, however the separate XY sizing and audio will not operate.

If your interface serial number is LAI026 or above and has an green 
LED next to the mains IEC input it is the latest version and all 
functions of Laser Animator are supported.
